January 17th Sermon- The Second Sunday after Epiphany

In the 1st chapter of Mark’s gospel, the Spirit drives Jesus into the wilderness. Odd, isn’t it? … unless you consider all that we can learn from Jesus about life in the wilderness. Is it only a place of despair, or can it be preparation for new life?
